This event is hosted by our partner organization, the MD-DC-VA AFAA Chapter, and features Jeanne Tebera, Principal of HENRY ADAMS, LLC to present on The Lowdown on Codes, Standards, and Best Practices for Safe, Compliant Elevator Installations.
Summary: The types of elevators that are available on the market is ever increasing, and the codes and standards that govern the installation of elevators and their associated systems are ever changing. Attendees will learn about different elevator types and the numerous codes and standards that apply to elevator installations. Discussions will include the following:

Mechanical, electrical, communications, plumbing, and fire protections systems for safe, code-compliant elevator installations.

Best practices for organizing and presenting design information on permit documents to provide plans reviewers, AHJs, installers, and other stakeholders with clear, concise design intent.
